Basketball Career 

In the 1985 NBA Draft, Wennington was picked by the Dallas Mavericks with 16th  in the first round. On 29th October 1985, he made his NBA Draft.

On 26th June 1990, Mavericks traded to the Sacramento Kings along with two 1990 first-round draft picks for  Rodney McCray and two future second-round draft picks.

After that, he spent a few years in Italy playing for Virtus (Knorr) from Bologna. 

In 1993, he signed to the Chicago Bulls as a free agent. With immense popularity, Chicago-area McDonald's restaurants even sold a sandwich named after Wennington called the Beef Wennington in 1998.

In 1999, he joined the Sacramento Kings where he played until his retirement in 2000.

During his career, he played with NBA superstars Dennis Roadman, Michael Jordan, Ron Harper, and Scottie Pippen.
